Thank you, Sarah!

By thankyousarahpalin

Michelle Malkin said it well:

Sarah Palin worked her heart out. She energized tens of thousands to come out who would have otherwise stayed home. She touched countless families. I didn’t agree with everything she said on the campaign trail. But two fundamental conservative stands she took mattered greatly to me: She vigorously defended the Second Amendment and the sanctity of life more eloquently in practice than any of the educated conservative aristocracy.

And she did it all with a tirelessness and infectious optimism that defied the shameless, bottomless attempts by elites in both parties to bring her and her family down.

Shame on the smearers who don’t have the balls to show their faces.

Thank you, Sarah Palin. Thank you for stepping up the plate and serving your country.

Let’s show Sarah that we support her – leave a note for her in the comments!

    Governor Palin,

I’m torn between wanting to address you as ‘Madam Governor’, out of respect for you and your office – but I can’t help but feel that you’d almost prefer being addressed by name. And that – in a nutshell – is why you are such a breath of fresh air in politics – of any party.

First off – a very heart felt THANK YOU! You restored my faith that it’s possible to be an honest ‘Citizen Statesman’ and politician.

I have to tell you that I was seriously considering voting ‘non-of-the-above’ until you were chosen as candidate for VP. I did vote for the McCain/Palin ticket, but in truth it was more because I was hoping that if our party won, you’d eventually get a chance to run on the front of the ticket in 2012. And I Still Hope You Do Run in 2012.

PLEASE: America NEEDS leaders, like you. Heed her call!

I know you cannot shirk your duties as Governor, but please, don’t drop out of sight for those of us in the lower 48. Use this opportunity to allow your fair state to show the many who’ve forgotten exactly what being an American really is, and what the American Way is all about: Integrity, Honor, Duty, Industriousness, Self-Sufficiency, Competitiveness, Private Charity, Compassion, Generosity of Heart, Freedom, and Pursuit of Happiness, while under as little ‘Government’ (local, state, or federal) as possible. That is, government which is as close as possible to just the basics of police, courts, and providing for the common defense, as it was in the earlier days of our republic.

I fear that our liberal brethren are unaware, or just plain blind to the fact that any government big enough to give you everything you want, is also large enough to take away everything that you have. We’re not there yet, but we’re certainly heading down that road – and to the very real peril of our nation and our freedom. The notion that they are making a conscious choice to go down that road is almost to horrible to believe.

When help was needed, Americans used to show the way, even in the face of impossible odds – and I think we still can. I also believe that you understand that this is a legacy that we have a duty – and obligation – to teach to our children, so it can be preserved for future generations. Teaching is always best done by example – and I believe that with you at the helm, Alaska can help show the rest of America that those founding principles not only still exist – but that they work, and work well.

Should you choose to pursue the office of POTUS some day in the future, know that you have the support of this conservative, and that I’d like to be a charter member of your grass-roots campaign – regardless of where I’m living at the time. Either way, you have my thanks and respect for the good you’ve started.

Trust me, it’s not easy being a conservative Republican in the DEEPLY ‘blue’ state of Maryland. I consider myself to be a true American, and a follower in the Founding Father’s footsteps, but I have to say – that lately, I feel like a “Stranger in a Strange Land (with all due apologies to Robert Heinlein for borrowing his book title).

Again, Thank You – and may the Lord’s blessings be upon you and your family, in all things.

  2. William & Nona Seward Says:

Just want you to know we stood by you all the way with our prayers. You were a person of integrity all the way. Pray there is a place for you on the 2012 ticket if not before.

  3. Debra L. Adams Says:

Sarah Palin is the ONLY reason I got out and voted. I knew I did NOT want Obama, but there was no one else to vote for. Palin 2012!!!! I want the first t-shirt.

Sarah-Tell Oprah and Barbara WAWA to kiss your skinny white ass and refuse to interview with them. You don’t need them. You are already miles ahead of them both. They will find a way to stick their knife in and twist it. Give O’Reilly Factor your interview.

  4. Toni Says:

Thank you for giving me a reason to vote for the Republican ticket this year – I was disheartened until you joined it!

You’ll have my vote if you should decide to run in 2012!

  5. Patricia Crawford Says:

We see you Sarah Palin and thank you for being our beacon of light!

  6. Herb Says:

To the Honorable Gov. Sarah Palin, Todd, and Family. Thank you so much for your extreme sacrifice. You have given us faith in the Republican Party that core conservative values still exist.

We are sorry we could not deliver Oregon for you and Sen. McCain, but this is an Oppressive State riddled with election fraud and corruption. Corrupted Judges are used to pick off conservatives one by one, and the media refuses to report accurately. Only a few conservatives will speak up for us in Oregonians, and those sacrifices are seldom mentioned…

Again, Thank you’ll because you did stand for true positive change to give this country back to We The People.

    Respectfully.

  7. Renee Says:

If these words ever get back to Sarah Palin, I would just like her to know that I completely supported her and would have loved to see her as Vice President of our fine country. I think she is an inspiration and has been a positive role model, she is a strong, intelligent, classy, hard working family woman. Not only is she all of those things, but she is a strong leader and the media has been so terribly unfair and biased towards her, it makes me sick to watch any of the negative press about her. I agree with Debra Adams, please do not give any interviews to Barbara Walters or Oprah! They are both ridiculously biased.

I hope Sarah Palin stays around for a long time, this world needs mavericks like her!

  8. Bonnie Evans Says:

    Dear Gov. Palin,

Thank you for actively promoting conservatism during the election. You are the first person to come along in a long time who has actually gotten me excited about casting my vote for you! I so appreciate your down-to-earth, ‘We the People’ attitude about government and politics. I will support you in any political endeavor you choose to undertake in the future, and hope I get the opportunity to vote for you again. THANK YOU for your service to your country. You are an American heroine.

  9. Sam McKenney Says:

Thank you Sarah for talking to us like normal Ameicans. Please don’t lower your standards to blaming President Bush for losing the election. John McCain sat and looked like a deer with headlights in it’s eyes the first 2 debates and wouldn’t use infromation he had the rest of the time. You brought excitement to the stage and put up with a lot of nasty put downs. I voted for McCain and you and would be proud to vote for you again. You are the most dynamic politician I have seen in years. Please don’t lower yourself to the others standards. Thanks for the memories.

  10. Annalisa Says:

    Dear Sarah,

Although I am not American I have followed your campaign with admiration and prayers.

Thank you for standing up for common sense, for freedom, for the rights of the unborn, for women, for those who are not part of an elite – in short, for us.

I look forward to following your next steps and supporting you all the way. God bless you.

    With love.

  11. Diane Kendall Says:

I want to thank Gov. Palin for being so courageous in her fight against the looney left press. I never read a newspaper anymore, nothing worth reading in them anyway.

Finally, finally there is a woman in politics that I can tell my granddaughters about. She has the right ideas without shrinking from the “polically correct” media. She is a successful woman in a powerful position that did not deny her values. Thank you, Sarah!

    Sincerely,

A real fan in South Whitley, Indiana

  12. sfcmac Says:

    Dear Governor Palin,

It was a privilege to vote for you on the GOP ticket. You’re a smart, strong, independent, take-no-bullshit kind of gal.
You’re a tough, no-nonsense reformer as well as intelligent, articulate, and principled. You’re Middle America. That’s why the Democrats hate you.

I hope to see you run for President in 2012 and exude the same toughness and confidence that made you a successful Governor of Alaska.

America needs someone like you in D.C., and even more so after Obama and his merry band of socialist idiots are done destroying this country.

  13. talkingocean Says:

    Dear Governor Palin,
As a Libertarian Republican I rarely have a candidate that I am singing to myself in line as I cast my vote. I was a Ron Paul supporter and wasn’t going to waste my gas to go vote. When you came along I started singing. Despite the smears I did my research, (an informed voter not MSM brainwashed), and I really liked what you did in Alaska. You are one tough cookie and one that can roll up her sleeves and get shit done instead of “talk” about it. Our country needs you. You are truly someone that will stand up for “We The People”. Although I support gay marriage, (as a Constitutional right to have the same rights basic as marry/civil union with someone you love—right for each American and believe in seperation of church & state on this issue), I do support you on smaller government and the stance of liberty for each American.
I look forward to seeing you in 2012!

    Love Ya!
